Mike, a retired project manager with the Navy, has been the Summergrass festival chair since 2007 and Yvonne has been publicity/sponsorship liaison since 2003. Mike’s background includes past bluegrass radio host, bluegrass bandleader, former San Diego Bluegrass Society president, and a banjo and dobro player as well. In 2013, the California Bluegrass Association awarded Honorary Life Memberships to Yvonne and Mike for "Lifetime Achievement" for their efforts in promoting bluegrass in California and Nationwide.
